Welcome to Vertigo Mk1 Docs

Two engineers designed the Vertigo Mk1 so they could avoid walking downstairs to start a new print. They figured it might come in handy for some other folks too.

GitHub

The entire project – BOM, Docs, STLs, Electrical, and eventually CAD – will be available on GitHub. Anyone is always welcome to fork the repo, make commits, and submit pull requests. This is nice, because you get to “be the change you wish to see in the world” ~ as commonly paraphrased from Gandhi. If you’re really enthusiastic, ping one of us on Discord; if we build some rapport, we will make you a “collaborator” so you can easily contribute directly to the repo.

Design

The CAD files will be available on our GitHub. They will be released under a CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. In a nutshell, this allows contributors to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon it to the utmost delight of your mind’s eye

As long as they:

  • Credit Automated Layers LLC (BY)
  • Don’t use it commercially (NC)
  • Distribute their adaptations under the same license (SA)

CC BY-NC-SA

If you’ve made an awesome modification or derivation that you’d like to sell, contact us through Discord and we can discuss options.

Coffee

We do get a small portion of the proceeds from kit sales through West3D. However, if you’re feeling generous and just want to support this project and our continued design work, feel free to buy us a coffee.
