Assembly Notes

  • 1:23 The Cam Sliders can be installed on either side, you may just have to rotate them 180° along they’re long axis. This is how they will look from the top view.

  • 2:06 On side B (not shown in the video), The timing pulley is flipped such that the shaft collar is near the motor. The Pulley Offset Tool Side B is used in the same way, with the upper lip concentric with the teeth of the pulley, so the flange will be resting on the upper lip of the tool instead of the shaft collar.
  • 2:30 These 4 M3x40 SHCS don’t need to be super tight. They will be loosened and fully tightened during belt tensioning.
  • 3:18 Installation of this XY Drive Lid is entirely aesthetic and optional.
  • 3:33 Re-iterating here to pay attention to the position of the idler bearing and spacer. The idler closest to the front of the printer should be at the same height as the timing pulley on both sides.
